Ok, so we just saw this final installment of the Scream franchise and I must say…It wasn’t bad.  Yes, before you go see Scream VI, you need to read this quick review.  I’m here to save you a lot of time and conjecture.  In short, it was pretty cool.  Basically, if you liked Scream V, you will enjoy the same chemistry from the characters-Sam, Tara, Chad and Mindy (Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown, respectfully).

A Bit of a Twist?

This installment, however has a bit of a twist to it regarding the signature “Ghostface” character.  In this one, we get to see a bit of poetic justice play out with the initial murderer, played by Tony Revolori after he attacks his professor, played by Samara Weaving.

Family Matters

Along with the refreshing sisterhood displayed between Sam and Tara as they heal their familial wounds, we get a cool and familiar feeling of trust and friendship among the “core four”.  Scream VI also has a greatly appreciated multicultural element that shows as sincere, awesome and smart instead of being embarrassing and boringly stereotypical.

This One Was Fresh

The acting was believable and welcomed.  The cinematography was gripping and suspenseful.  Overall, the writing for Scream VI proved interesting and fresh the whole time through.

You should definitely check this one out with a few friends.  That’s what ithinkie.
