Before you see evil dead rise, you need to read this review. I don’t want to waste time here, so let’s just get to the point. This movie is entertaining. If you know anything about this genre and all of Ash’s heroics, then this movie is for you. However, even if you have never seen or heard of anything regarding the Evil Dead franchise, you will be brought right up to speed. This movie does a good job explaining each step of the action/horror. We understand what is happening and we are there to logically see why. The cast was believable. Alyssa Sutherland did an excellent job as the impacted mother of three. Lilly Sullivan was great and complimentary to the plot in her reincarnation. Gabrielle Echols and Morgan Davies were both great as well.
In this installment, we see an homage to a few of the classics including Aliens, The Shining and of course Evil Dead 1 & 2.
Overall, this one is pretty cool and creative. Before you see evil dead rise, grab some more people. Go and see it. You’ll have a ball!
